paddington's home page
I like skiing and my Uncle Toby sometimes takes photographs of my adventures. If you would like to look at them here are some links to Toby's website (www.cullen.org). And if you would like to open them in a new tab or a new window don't forget to right click.
On the other hand you cannot stop a bear from nicking things on the web, particularly when he is the star of most of the photos. And it may be quicker (and more ecologically friendly?) to look at the stolen versions below. The third one is particularly interesting because only the photos and the concept have been nicked. The programming is completely different. Here are the links.
And here is just a little demo I did of how you can divide an image into various areas so that mouse events can create different results depending on which area is involved. I have left it here in case I need to remind myself how to do it in the future. Hover your mouse over the picture of the Old School House to see where everyone lives. Click to see a picture of them.
something to change
Paddington Does Bumps |
Is it time to get up already? |
It's always good to start with a hearty breakfast. Where's the marmalade? |
Now check the weather forecast. |
You cannot always trust Meteo France. What does it look like out there? |
Planning the route is fun. Where are the black runs? |
Ski boots are always a tight squeeze. |
Now let's find those skis and poles. |
Who is this handsome fellow? Reminds me of Nick. |
A climbing frame is a great idea. |
Now these deep bumps are just the thing. Remember the pistons. |
One of my jobs is to help old people on these difficult drag lifts. |
A quick break to climb a tree. |
I love to meet friends on the slopes. Mr. Chamois and Mr. Bouqetuin. |
And another friendly face is Mr. Marmotte. |
Black runs are good to get the legs pumping. |
Just checking progress on the map. |
Has he forgotten me, hanging here on this post? |
These two seem to spend a lot of time sitting on chairs. |
Skiing is over for the day. What fun! |
Do you think the pilot knows where to go? Best if I pop into the cockpit and check things out. |
Paddington in Courmayeur |
This is Courmayeur. It's in Italy, even though it sounds French. |
And here I am. |
Just checking the snow conditions. |
I still have to help this old man on the lifts. |
Now, this looks interesting. Pista dell'orso. I might meet up with some of my friends. |
Bears are expert skiers. (More importantly that sign means "No boarders!") |
Well, here goes. |
Great bumps. Just right for a bear. |
These signs are really helpful. |
What a silly man! |
Another day's skiing is over. Time to head back down the mountain. |
